About CWT

Three founders. Three perspectives. One way of doing the work.

CWT wasn't started by a single roofer with a truck. It was started by three friends who'd each spent years watching the industry from a different angle, and who agreed on what was broken about it.

2010's

Background

Chris Patterson spent his career as a roofer in the DFW industry; on the ladder, in the attic, and at the end of the day looking at how the work got done right and how corners got cut. Trey Cooksey built a remodeling company in Arkansas starting in 2018, running jobs of every kind including roofing, which meant he'd seen the business side of construction and the way homeowners get treated (or don't) when something goes wrong. Wes Alhamwi had spent years in operations at a logistics company, running the systems that keep a business from falling apart under its own weight.

2024

Coming Together

Trey and Chris became friends in 2024 in Fort Worth. The more they talked, the more obvious it was that they'd all landed on the same conclusion: the roofing industry didn't have to feel like a coin flip. Too many homeowners were getting upsold on replacements they didn't need, ghosted after a sale, or stuck with warranties that weren't worth the paper. The three of them decided to start CWT together and build the kind of company they'd want to hire if they were the homeowner.

2026

Grand Opening

CWT officially opened its doors on January 14, 2026. We're brand new as a company, but we're not new to this work. Between the three of us, we've spent years in construction, roofing, and operations. What's new is what we're building it into.

Our Mission

Giving back to Fort Worth

Our Mission

Giving back to Fort Worth

A portion of every CWT project goes toward CWT Covers, a separate non profit organization we founded alongside CWT Roofing to help DFW families get a safe, reliable roof over their heads after a major storm. Insurance doesn't cover everyone, and not every family has the savings to handle a crisis. For the ones who fall through the cracks, we want to be the safety net.

CWT Covers is in the early days of being formally organized, and we'll share more as the program develops. The intent is for it to grow with us, starting in DFW and expanding to wherever the need is greatest. For now, know that when you hire CWT, part of what you're paying for is a neighbor's roof somewhere in the area.

Our Vision

Treat the homeowner the way we'd want to be treated

Our Vision

Treat the homeowner the way we'd want to be treated

We believe roofing should be straightforward. You should know what's wrong with your roof, what it'll cost to fix, what your options are, and what we're going to do, in plain English, before we start. If a repair is the better call than a replacement, we'll tell you. If we're not the right crew for the job, we'll tell you that too. No pressure, no upsells, no games. Just good work, done the way we'd do it for our own homes.

Honest assessments

Even when it costs us the sale We'd rather lose a replacement job and earn a repair job than pressure a homeowner into work they don't need. A roof that can be repaired for $800 shouldn't be replaced for $18,000. We'll document what we find, show you the photos, and give you a straight answer about whether it's time.
